Steve Morrison

Express

‘The Steve Morrison Express’ was formed early in 2010 and has been built around the guitar playing and song writing of Steve Morrison. The band features Dave Burrluck on bass, guitar and lap-steel and Mark Walker on drums and percussion. The music has been designed to make you dance, laugh, cry, think and usually all four at the same time.

Dave Burrluck brings extensive experience to band performer as well as a wealth of knowledge from his many years of research and exploration as a journalist for ‘Guitarist’ magazine. His versatlity with all instruments stringed and fretted opens up a lot of possibilities for the new band.

Mark Walker has played percussion for Rolf Harris since the 1990s, appearing with him around the world, from the Albert Hall to Capetown, not to mention at his many infamous Glastonbury performances. Originally a kit player - he was one of the initial drummers in the Lion King - he has spent the past few years developing a style and technique that combines kit and percussion adding both driving and subtle rhythms to the music.
